“If the numbers we see in domestic violence were applied to terrorism or gang violence, the entire country would be up in arms, and it would be the lead story on the news every night.”– Rep. Mark Green.
“This quote is so on point.” – Candice Hill, HDA President. At least 1 of 4 females will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. If statistics showed that 1 in 4 homes will be terrorized by terrorist or gang violence…that would be on the news every night. Not 1 of 4 homeless, poor, minority women…but women in general.

Basking in the world-wide exposure provided by the 1996 Atlanta Centennial Olympics, the Morehouse College Glee Club, The Spelman College Glee Club and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus were the driving voices behind the 300-strong Olympic Centennial Choir featured during the Opening Ceremony on July 19, 1996. During the Closing Ceremony, the Morehouse College Glee Club was featured with soprano Jennifer Larmore and the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra in a stirring rendition of the "Olympic Hymn"; with Gloria Estefan in singing the specially written Olympic theme, "Reach"; joined with Stevie Wonder, spellbinding the audience with "Imagine"; and at the extinguishing of the Olympic Flame, performed the moving a cappella arrangement of "The Flame" with famed country singer Trisha Yearwood.
Directed by the renowned Dr. David Morrow, this distinguished all-male chorus has completed a successful tour of the Russian Republic that included a stop in the capital of Moscow and trips to Poland, Bermuda and South Africa.

Esteemed lawyer Koren Lyles has been known to slay hearts, but what happens when each of her past romantic casualties, end up at a premarital weekend retreat all together? It's a date with disaster!
Koren has it all and unfortunately far more than she bargained for. Life was good, she was up for partner, and her loving boyfriend, Joey Harris, proposes marriage. Then her life changes when her old flame, Cameron, who is also her boss, professes he wants to leave his wife for her. Not knowing how to deal with him, she let Joey persuade her into going to a couples' retreat to see if they are ready for marriage. Everything comes tumbling down when her ex fiance', Michael, and her best friend, Jackie, are there too... Engaged! The retreat gets heated when she is forced to deal with her past, Cameron coming to claim her, and skeletons that come out of the closet between her and Joey. The weekend turns into a whirlwind as emotions erupt, perceived friendships become fake, secrets are shouted, and old love goes to war with new love!
There is only one person who can deal with these issues, he has a black belt in Karate, a PhD in romance, and he's an ordained minister - introducing Bishop Luther Lance Love Jones. Bishop Jones is known for his words of wisdom and his advice for sexual healing. He has a technique that checks attitudes at the door, breaks you down to build your relationships back up better than before. When his own marital woes start to interfere with the retreat and tears down his own life, the weekend falls completely apart. Couples are forced to examine the strength of their love and ability to survive the "happily ever after," and if anybody at all is Marriage Material?

March Gladness Church Basketball Tourney
Date: March 20, 2011
Time: 2:00pm - 9:00pm
Place: West Fresno Basketball Complex
1802 E. California Ave
Fresno, CA
This will be a great time to unite not just our youth and young adults but also our church together as we play a friendly, yet competive basketball tournament. You all know how I operate. I believe in peace and more fun than anyone can ever image with Jesus being the necleus of it. We want your participation in this great event. There is no registration fee. No underlining cost. We only ask that you tell your friends and the members of you church to come out and support your team. Also it would be great to have some cheerleaders or rooting section for your church team.
This is an 8 team men's tournament and a 4 team women's tournament. There will be a championship game at the conclusion of the evening for both the women and the men. The GIM will be performing at halftime of the men's championship game along with some area church dancers.
We currently only have 2 slots available for the men's tournament and 1 for the women so I need you to put a rush on your registration form. If you are short players, it is a acceptable for two churches to link up to form one team. Whatever you do, do it quickly. This will be a dynamic day. First game begins at 2pm. Championship game is at 7pm. If you have any questions or concern please contact me via email, office or cell.
