SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION
Supplemental Instruction (SI) sessions are peer-led review sessions provided for select courses. The sessions are organized to allow students the opportunity to interact as they construct knowledge. More specifically, SI sessions provide a chance for students to get together with classmates to compare notes, discuss important concepts, and develop strategies for studying the subject.
ACADEMIC SUCCESS WORKSHOPS (ASW)
During the semester, staff and student facilitators host a series of workshops designed to help students develop and improve academic strategies. Each workshop is 50 minutes in length. Workshop topics include: Steps to Academic Success, Strategic Time Management, Textbook Tactics, The Exam Game Plan, The Art of Relaxation, APA Citation and Formatting, MLA Citation and Formatting. MAXIMIZING ACADEMIC POTENTIAL (MAP) WORKSHOPS
MAP workshops are offered to students who are on academic probation or are academically disqualified. Let the Learning Center help you get back onto the road to graduation
SERVICES FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
Located in the University Center, Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) at California State University, Fresno, coordinates academic support services for students with disabilities. The SSD office also provides counseling, registration assistance, blue curb parking, orientation, and advocates with off-campus agencies.
