Black Faculty and Staff Association

Our mission is to enhance the standing of Black faculty, staff, administrators and students at California State University, Fresno.

The California State University, Fresno Black Faculty and Staff Association seeks to bridge the gap between faculty and staff, develop a system of advocacy for employees of African descent. As a partner in the educational enterprises, BFSA also seeks to provide services that meet the needs of African American students as they progress through their college experience that enhance and support the academic mission of the University.

As a resource for students, BFSA will encourage comprehensive educational experiences for students through programs inside and outside of the classroom and sponsor activities that serve to build alliances between students and BFSA members.
