March Scholarships

Jack and Jill Foundation National Scholarship: DEADLINE - MARCH 14, 2011
If you are an African-American student with at least a 3.0 g.p.a. who intends to enroll full-time in a four-year college in the fall, then you might qualify for this national scholarship program. I also recommend doing a search on the Internet to see if your local Chapter of Jack and Jill offers a scholarship in your city. Deadline for national competition is March 14:

Kohls Cares Scholarship Program: DEADLINE - MARCH 15, 2011
Gift cards to grand prizes - Kohls is looking for nominations of young people who are volunteering in the community. Financial need and academic performance are not considered in the selection process - very rare for a scholarship! Who will nominate you? Deadline is March 15:

AARP Women's Scholarship - over 40 years old: DEADLINE - MARCH 31, 2011
This is a great opportunity for a woman who wants to earn her education but is struggling financially. ARRP gives preference to those who are raising the children of another family member, those in low-paying jobs with no career opportunities and who are lacking a retirement benefit and/or health insurance, and those who have been out of the workforce for more than five years. Deadline is March 31st.

As you can see, scholarship providers are very diverse in terms of their requirements and preferences, but if you don't search now you might lose out on scholarships for fall. Go build your scholarship empire!
